Turkey Sausage & Sage Gravy

What’s biscuits without gravy? Especially ones as hard as a rock like mine turned out… Not only was the biscuits my first try… so is the gravy! The good thing about this is, it turned out fantastic!!!

1 pack of turkey sausage
2 tsp. dried sage or fresh, finely chopped sage
black pepper
3-4 cup milk (preferably warm milk)
1/2 cup flour

In a large skillet, crumble the turkey sausage and let it brown evenly.

Sprinkle the flour over the sausage. Stir it evenly and let the flour cook for a few minutes. At this time, add the sage, salt & black pepper.

Pour the warm milk into the skillet all at once and let it cook. If you prefer thinner gravy, add more milk. The gravy will thicken as it cools. Be sure to taste and add more salt & pepper as needed. I like mine with a bit extra black pepper.

Serve over warm buttery biscuits
